Ashes

March 23, 2009, Ratchaburi, Thailand. Libing ni Dr. Nowee. First time kong makasaksi ng Buddhist Funeral. Halos week-long 'yung ceremony, last day na ako nakapunta, nung iki-cremate na siya. We were there since 11am until 5pm. We left AIT at 8am, so medyo may kalayuan 'yung lugar.

Behind the colorful facade of this Thai Temple, sadness was overwhelming. Even the brightness of the sun cannot outshine the loneliness of the ones who cared for her.

I will really miss you, Dr. Nowee.

Visiting Chachoengsao

Five-day fieldwork in Chachoengsao Province for our UEM Workshop class this semester. At the end of the semester, we are expected to draft an urban revitalization plan for Muang Chachoengsao, the most urbanized municipality in the province.

On the first day (15Feb), we went around the tourist-spots in the Province. We went to Wat Sothorn, Baan Mai Market, Bang Khla, and others. The next days were mainly for business, but of course, we still managed to find some time to fool around. hehehe

Wat, Moda at ang Mahiwagang Perskindol

Gala sa Wat Chaiwatthanaram, Ayutthaya with Dazzie, Kissy, and Amer nung nandito sila sa Thailand. Galing sina Dazzie at Amer sa kanilang "Ho Chi Minh-Hanoi-Phnom Penh-Chiang Mai Tour" at siyempre, hindi makukumpleto ang kanilang "Asian Tour 2008" kung hindi nila ako pupuntahan at isasama (actually, itatapon ni Amer mga pinadala kong sapatos from the Phillpines kung hindi ko sila kikitain. hehehe). Kaya eto, nag-photoshoot kami sa Ayutthaya. Mukhang fake 'yung Wat (temple) pero promise, totoo yan! Ni-rent namin si Khun Bunmi at ang kanyang bonggang-bonggang taxi at kinaladkad namin siya sa Ayutthaya, pinaghintay ng pagkatagal-tagal, iniiwan sa kung saan-saan, habang si atez ay nagii-spray ng kayamanan na kanyang natagpuan sa Bangkok -- ang mahiwagang PERSKINDOL!!! Ahaha. Ayun. Hindi pa dito natatapos ang araw...

...next stop, elephant elephant and maraming elephant! chang chang chang... hehehe
